Optimum TAV is a short, self-expanding valve with preclinical durability matching surgical valves. It avoids tissue damage from balloon-expansion and allows unrestricted coronary access. 12 patients implanted in Europe have great outcomes out to 3.5 years. Our FIH patient in Brazil is at 7 years post-implant. Increasingly, younger patients with current TAVR valves require Redo-TAVR. Optimum TAV could completely avoid or delay Redo-TAVR for years.
